DOUBLE GLAZED GLASS

We recommend Double Glazed Glass due to it’s proven energy efficiency and cost savings. The “airtight construction” of double glazed windows creates thermal insulation that reduces the flow of incoming and outgoing heat. Less energy is used to heat up or cool down a room or space, resulting in lower energy consumption.

The shift from single glazing to standard double glazing will reduce heat loss through your windows by over 50%. When you use glass with improved thermal properties (such as Low-E) or argon filled units, the reduction in heat loss can be more than 70%.

Due to their high energy efficiency, the cost reduction in your the energy bill will eventually make up for the higher initial price that you pay for them.

Insulation from sounds – another great advantage of the double glazed windows is they can really reduce all sounds that comes from the outside. Because of  the two layers, IGU’s create a barrier between your home or office from the outside in cases wherein you live near a busy road or in a noisy neighborhood.

Safety benefit – Double glazed windows are a lot harder to break compared to the regular single pane windows.
